I went out with a French girl from Saint-Etienne. She always told people she was from Grenoble, where she went to university, so maybe it is the French version of Liverpool?
Oh hold on, on here it's the other way round isn't it? People claim to come from Liverpool having grown up in the small commuter towns of southern England.
