Cheers Velocio. It is indeed a lovely sans serif font, but it is bigger than the display font (probably because I have selected a smaller display font for reading the forum).

It's because the entry box is actually an entirely different web page.

That other web page is generated on the fly, and knows nothing about the font size stuff.

If Firefox did as other browsers do and allowed the font to inherit and through iframe boundaries then this wouldn't be an issue.

It's going to stay as it is now.

VB, i think this all looks ace but why does the spy have 2 different sized fonts? The most recent posts are readble in my preferred font size, but the older ones are tiny

Older ones are older ones, why would you need to see those?

I'm kidding.

The page is crap, needs totally rebuilding. It still has some hard-coded font sizes in it (about 30 or 40 templates still do).

I may gut the page and replace it with something sane, but it's not a high priority.
