It all stems from a 500 mile cycle trip on an ill fitting bike. Fucking stupid in hindsight, but that's a beautiful thing isn't it.
Since then I've paid for a bike fit and the pain went until I upped my running routine. Looks like I may need in soles as my right knee cap points slightly inwards. I've got the number of a chap who lives near by who I'll go visit (he used to ride for team GB and is now a physio) who I think I'll go visit soon.
Otherwise I've visited the doctors and they can refer me to a physio but that could be anywhere between 6 and 8 weeks which is mad, but depending on the price of private I may have to wait.
I've got somehow used to the pain. My only hope is that I'm not doing any more damage.
I think I will go to see an orthopedist privately when I visit my parents. The financial impotence (not incompetence) of my GP is truly depressing - he hates referring people to a specialist.
I'd probably get it checked out sooner rather than later, your GP has to refer you if you ask. Even if your told you've got to wait 6-8 weeks (like me) It's better than nothing isn't it!
