  • I've just fitted an SLR, been wanting to try one for a while. Always assumed minimal would be uncomfortable, but recenty been thinking it could be better for me. Will report back.

I love them. My only gripe is that i find I cant move around on them much. Not a big deal for road riding I suppose.

I put the Gobi I bought for the fat bike, on the CX commuter. Works so well. Used them before, offroad, but this is the first time I've done a 2.5 hr road stint on one.

    Currently have:

Roadbike - Ti SLR. Small sweet spot. But amazingly comfortable over distance.

29er - Selle san marco Phobos. Nice to move around on like the Gobi, but the sweet spot seems smaller.

Fixed - Selle italia Storika - Much like the SLR (well half way between SLR and Flite), just with a slightly bigger sweetspot.

CX commuter - Fizik Gobi. Loving this saddle. I'm comfortable on it, all over. So I can move about on the road. Off-road it offer ultimate control with its raised back, and fattish nose.

I am pretty convinced I am Gobi/SLR. Depending on the use of the saddle.
