My point was not that you should buy a pilot watch instead but that it was overpriced and by some margin.

If you want "non-aspirational" then get a Swatch... same quality as the Uniform Wares and a quarter of the price. As for calling the Uniform Wares watch "non-aspirational", i think the reason it's so horribly overpriced is that it is aspirational in it's design. It's certainly not priced that way because of it's quality!!!
