^^ well there are two (I think) people on this thread who's lost their £60GBP hope lights that way. So imo if it was of comparable quality/output then yes I think it might be worth it.
One thing that appeals over the theft-proof-ness is the idea of a really robust integrated mount. The pita battery changes don't.
