I took a photo of Les when I first saw it in Condor 2 years ago, let me see if I can dig it up (was in original livery too).

He's come a long way, that's for sure.

His original name was "Monster" cause he's well... a bit fugly and then "Lesley". But the girls all laughed at him so I shortened it...

Actually the decals originally said "MYCYCLES" but my lady took offense to the ugly lettering and decided it would be better with the "MYCYC..." removed. Incidentally MyCycles is the name of a shop up in Worcester somewhere - so I guess the guy or gal who rode this in competition was sponsored by them... bit of heritage there. :)

finished mine a little while ago and posted a pic, got some hate on here for doing a conversion but its my bike, i can do what i like with it. anyway now ive got used to being brake less I've have put the other front wheel on, how it looks:

clearances are very tight!

I'm looking for a new pair of forks though, something that will bring the front wheel in a bit, and a bit straighter, preferably carbon if anyone knows someone selling or has some? cheers

why? its not the original fork, its a cheap tange one that sends shocks up my arms everytime i go over a bump. even some good quality steel forks would be better than these. id just heard that carbon ones help absorb the shock more, seems theyre hard to come by with a threaded steerer though.

Almost there, just need to put on brake and lever. Maybe cut steerer but that can wait

That still gives quite high numbers, corresponding to what I'd use on a TT bike. For just riding around enjoying the scenery, you can go quite a bit lower.

I must get another subscription I haven't had BQ for a year or so...Started getting it almost from the start.

My (non-cycling) mate used to laugh at my plain cover 'specialty publication' ie. niche porn.

Anyone ever used the SKF bottom brackets they sell? I was interested after I found out how much my (over-rated) Phil was going to cost to get new bearings fitted.
