I neglected mine and rode them for a year/5000 miles in all weather conditions. Utterly trashed the cones, but luckily the hubs are perfect.
Had some bother trying to source HB-7600 cones without paying for a full axle. Found loosescrews.com which sell the cones individually for $9. $7 shipping for a pair to the UK. *As opposed to a place in Germany asking for €35!
In my Googling for replacements I found others in my situation, so sticking this here in case of future searches.
