  • ^^Preach it/confess it.

  • are the bolts for seatpost clamps on 531 frames a standard size?

Yes, they're very consistent in their manufacture.
And to answer; depends on design of clamp.
Usually 5mm hex, but length can vary.

    Don't joke...

  • hmm speed play zero cleats are confusing me,

Online it says that mine have adjustable float by moving the screws near the cleat, you can open them fully to achieve the most float.

Mine however don't have the screws to adjust only a little tab which you can flip toward the front or the back of the cleat which moves your toes or heels.

Are mine an old style or something? I'm getting sore knees so think I may have to try the ones with the adjustable screws.

  • It's referring to the grub screws, top and bottom right in the yellow plastic part.
The tab you are referring to moves when you twist your foot, the grub screws limit how far it can move.

  • Yes my cleats don't have the grub screws that's what I meant. I've got the tab which I can move, but not the grub screws. Are they old zeros cleats or something?

  • It sounds like you have non-adjustable cleats like the older x-series version.

The tab will naturally move when you're foot swivels on the pedal. Moving it by hand won't mean it remains there. If you need to adjust them you'll be needing new cleats.
