Swansea are the prime example of how solid foundations built a good footballing side, regardless of who is the manager. In a relatively short period of time they've had Kenny Jacket, Roberto Martinez, Paolo Sousa, Brandan Rogers without compromising on their style all achieved through the foundations laid out by core members of the club. I honestly don't think this can be said of what's happening at either Wigan, Bolton or WBA.

shows you how much you know about football. Swansea copied the west brom blue print. Sadly this season swansea have played much better football much more consistantly. they impress me.

Really, how does Hodgson fit in that blueprint and the ginger one that nobody wanted there in the first place?
Serious question btw.

Biggest home scorers in Europe.
Now that's an interesting one, so many options.
Maybe a big fish in a small pond, PSV, FCK, Galatasaray.
Or is it one of the obvious big scorers, Barca or Man City

Megson is a legend at Albion and did the best with what he had available. He was the start of something. Hodgson is a pain in the ass who needs to go but a blip on the overall model and not such a bad blip either. Albion are quite simply the bench mark for any small to medium size club hoping to achieve in the prem. We are financially stable. All our players have contracts tied in to relegation etc. No manager has the say over transfers but is part of a team that looks to bring in suitable players for the system ( a strategy rarely employed by English clubs and one Chelsea and Liverpool might like to look into soon ) The development of the stadium, youth system and the training facilities have all been first class and in budget and all part of the same footballing philosophy and, unlike arsenal, not tied to a iconic figure that you may one day struggle to say goodbye too.

ha, McCarthy gone... Looks like Niel Warnock will get a team relegated from the prem this season after all.

Colin Wanker for Wolves then?
Excellent choice.

Obnoxious club doesn't deserve a good chap like McCarthy, let Colin Wanker take them down along with Blackburn and QPR.
I think Ipswich were the model for all promoted teams not to follow. Finish 5th, get carried away, get in players who really can't hack it at that level on ridiculous money (Andy Marshall, Finidi George, Matteo Sereni), get relegated, go into administration, fester for years.
Respect to West Brom, Swansea, and grudgingly, to Norwich, who have shot past us by showing what it's like to have a football club run by people who care about it, by showing faith in a good young manager rather than going by past reputation, and trying to play well as well.
Always enjoyed my away days at the Hawthorns, it goes without saying but I think Baggies fans tend to be nicer than the Wolves lot.

I reckon ABV will get another chance next season, providing they'll qualify for the CL.

I saw Hertha Berlin play at home, amazing stadium, there's a massive gap in one end though, valuable seating space being wasted that.

• #51572
so romans appearances at the chelsea training ground after the last two games were just him showing interest in his show ponies ?
-
• #51573
Gutted to draw Chelsea in the FA Cup, but then remembered they're shit, weak and can be exploited. Yay!

Anyway, Chester FC, 6 points clear at the top.
UCL 5ths are 5 points clear. Some things are looking up at least.
