This "solution" will restrict the availability of subs for the league far too much?
I think there are plenty of subs. Perhaps a less restrictive solution would be to state that a sub cannot play on two different teams against the same team.
It just seems to completely undermine the ranking system if one team is forced to play the same player (potentially a supersub) in two different fixtures (which, actually, will be six games total).
