but it is the interior width that actually matters, what is the internal size for the rim in question?
Open Pro's are pretty narrow and I ran 35c tyres quite happily. Wider rims would be better as creates the correct profile for the tyre but it shouldn't actually cause any issues running a 32c on an Open Pro size rim.
