As far as I can tell, the guy who designs (read: chooses the materials/geometry) of tokyofixed's bikes is in the store most of the time. He's tall, with a gingery beard, and is incredibly helpful and nice.
In fact, all of the people in that shop are down to earth and pleasant. It's probably well worth voicing your questions to them directly.
