  • Sounds like moth damage. A common problem with merino. They won't repair it.

  • Oh, I didn't think I had moths, do I have to seal it to store it?!

  • Yes. You can buy cedar wood blocks from John Lewis that deter the little bastards too.

  • Or Lavender

  • There's a new product line for Rapha, protect your Rapha garments with authentic scent of Ventoux moth protector.

  • I tried a sample of the chamois cream they sent me.. The lavender was so strong all the way through the ride I kept thinking I was being drafted by an 83 year old woman...

  • Can I then moth proof my merino by rubbing the chamois creme on it?

  • That.. Or give it to your granny to look after..

Or get a bike made from cedar wood and store it with the merino?

hahah made me laugh out loud

  • ^ Don't worry, Oliver will be along soon...

    No, I won't.

    Oh. Hang on.

I'm not doing that all by myself, though. We need Platini back. Then I might think about it.

  • I will be your word-man/wing-man, Oliver.

  • I can honestly say that the Rapha Softshell is the fucking nuts.

-2 pre wind chill in the hills out near me today - Jacket kept me a nice temperature & arguably just as importunately, not a any time did I feel overheated. Amazing bit of kit - If your on the fence got for it.

  • just bought the bomber jacket, amazing for £95 in the clearance. Lots of nice details, only one thing is that I wish the right front pocket wasnt smaller than the left

  • Can you take a photo of it apc? The stuff on the website isn't great. Been thinking of buying one.

  • sorry, only have a mobile camera so cant take a good photo. Their photos on the website are pretty good imo.

  • I have the **Rapha **Paul Smith Rain jacket and I got that on the clearance for £150, so I think I got like £70 off it. It is very well made but If I was to buy anything from them I reckon I would only buy from the clearance section because I can't justify paying the full price. They are high quality products but they are a bit too expensive.

I don't know how people view people with **Rapha **gear? Do you seem like you have more money than sense and a complete poser or what? I wear mine to cycle about to Uni and stuff so I hope noone is looking and thinking "What a tosser, spending £150 on a rain jacket." Jacket cost me more than my bike ha!

  • My judgement of people wearing Rapha gear extends to 'they know how to look good on a bike and that you get roughly what you pay for in this game'. Good on them.

  • However, people who wear distressed jeans and white trainers should be rounded up and rendered into Gloy.

What is the fit like on the jackets, I have a Altura in a large and find its roomy, but the arms aren't long enough...

  • Any chance you're near Condor cycles?

  • I am not normally but will be going to London on monday so could go and have a look then..

  • Do it. It's worth it.

  • Looks like I will be having a longer lunch break then...

I got a **medium **and that fits me fine everywhere. If I had got the small I don't think I would have been able to zip it right up. I'm 5'8" and very slim built so most of my things I get are a size **small **so the Rapha stuff you should go a size up than what you normally get I'd say. Their sizing chart is very accurate.
