Only a nutter would take the job.

Nice, aggresive as a good Milwall fan should be
...but I do care that people don't like me :(
- I don't get why Harry is a dead cert. He has an excellent club team, something he's never really had the opportunity to work with to date. They're playing the best football in the league, with top draw players like Walker, Modric, Bale and King. They in the CL something few managers get the chance to experience.
Why give all that up for the Poison Challis that is Eng-er-laaand??
If 'Arry sensibly chooses to swerve it then a short term manager is needed to get a fucking shit band of players through a knock out competition surely then 2005 suggests Rafa Benitez could be with a punt.

Rafa. What a great idea. He fits the profile too being a complete nutter
-

Hoddle
He's a nutter and he has experience
-
• #51107
Where's Bryan Robson in all this?
-
• #51108
and what's the problem with everyone on here with Harry dodging tax? I'm sick of seeing my hard earned spent on the benefit system. Congratulations to anyone who has managed to keep the govt from wasting their money.
Holloway? so ridiculous it might just work

I think that the fact this crushes any expectations of England performing in the euros can only be a good thing. Lets pop Pearce in as temporary manager, a bit of underdog spirit is what we need, not the papers saying we deserve to win it before we've started. We only play well when we expect to lose anyway.

i bet the hardworking fee paying FA members from Small Village United are sick of funding the freeloading governing body, the pay offs for overpriced managers
-

Man City played scintillating football under Stuart Pearce, I'm sure he'll take the job providing he's allowed to have his toy horse on the sideline...

The FA really are a bunch of morons. I cannot remember a single instance where they have got anything right in the past 15 years. It seems that the people that head up our big companies/organizations are a load of inbred retards.
At least with Capello we had a chance of getting to the knock out stages. Redknapp will be exposed as he has zero experience of the world game and we will come home with zero points and zero goals
FACT
Terry is poison and should never represent England again. Everywhere he goes, he leaves a trail of sewage behind him. -

Some perspective from Sam Wallace http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/its-a-pathetic-waste-for-fabio-to-quit-over-terry-6674822.html

I also don't understand why Redknapp is a cert. Won anything of note? FAC?
International experience? Nope. Managed England at any level at any tournament? Nope.
England's problem is not that they aren't motivated enough, the problem is that the league leaves them shattered by the time tournaments come around, and the players don't understand the tactics needed to succeed at international level. Venables, whilst I am sure he is an excellent motivator (which surely is the minimum requirement for managing a sports team?), had international experience & got the team playing innovative tactics, but, crucially, had a lot of luck in the Spain game - Spain's disallowed goal & penalty shoot-out, and therefore over-achieved - England's level is about QF.
The only current English managers with relevant qualifications are (AFAIR):
Mclaren (international experience, including winning a foreign league)
Woy (managed international teams at tournaments, managed foreign club sides)
Pearce (managed England team at tournaments, albeit U-21)The example of Hoddle suggests that it is possible for an international novice to do a decent job, so I would also put Ince in the frame, as he seems to have the same qualifications as Hoddle (played abroad at the highest level, played for England at tournaments, qualified coach), and he also appears reasonably articulate.
However, the outstanding candidate is Hiddink - proven record of over-achieving at international tournaments.
Personally, I have no idea how good Pearce is, but if he's even half-way decent, surely he's the logical choice? Make him manager, and Ince U-21.
If the players are good enough, it doesn't matter who the manager is. Look at what the French did in 2006 with a total idiot in control - but that French team was full of brilliant players, and contained the one of the best ever players *. England have some good players, but not world-beaters, so unless we appoint Hiddink, we are virtually guaranteed 2nd round or QF exit.

Honestly, am I alone in thinking that Allardyce would be a decent shout, if you're looking for an experienced English manager?
Uses modern methods, gets results, over-achieves, who knows what he could do? Why not?
I hate him, I hate his teams, but I admire his achievements.

The media have decided it needs to be an English manager and therefore it will be an English manager. Redknapp and Allardyce are the only 2 English managers to have won a trophy in living memory. It will be Redknapp.
Redknapp will bring back Beckham and probably Owen, now little Michael has is finishing his traditional winter break.
The important thing to focus on through all this turmoil is to hope Spurs go for Moyes and not Mourinho, because
WE ALL FUCKING HATE SPURS !
-
• #51122
Allardyce?! The big fat tosser has no tactical nous whatsoever. Just ask B&D.
-
• #51123
Allardyce ? England can't be managed by a man who has traces of his last 3 meals on his tie FFS.
-
• #51124
They could raise King Arthur to manage the team and England still wouldn't fuckin' win.

You are very close to being put on ignore with this kind of statement
