Analog film photography and cameras

With most older cameras I've just gone ahead and used 1.5V as a drop in replacement.

Just set the film speed half a stop lower than it should be.
(Although worth checking its not gonna mess up your particular camera).

It can damage the cells in the light meter permanently.*

*Says the guy who's been doing it in his OM-1 since forever.
