Quick question. The light meter on my rangefinder (Yashica lynx 14e) was designed to run on 2 x 1.35v mercury batteries. Obviously these aren't available any more, so I've ordered the alkaline replacements, which are 2 x 1.5v. Obviously this is going to affect the accuracy of the readings, but is there any way I can calibrate the camera to work properly with higher voltage batteries?
Thanks,
With most older cameras I've just gone ahead and used 1.5V as a drop in replacement.
Just set the film speed half a stop lower than it should be.
(Although worth checking its not gonna mess up your particular camera).
