Or a cyclist taking the lane.

There is one on Seymour place. pretty big and I am thinking that only MTB or really thick tyres could survive that one without damage. It is being there for months now, I think they lamely tried to fix it, but the hole is still digging itself because it wasn't done properly.
Also this one in Streatham. Not only about the constant massive potholes that forced you to swerve, but also the lanes are very narrow from wider lanes and cars often try to push you to the kerbs.

I've finally got round to reporting the knackered in bits at the junction of Holloway Road and Camden Road and Holloway Road and Seven Sisters Road. It wouldn't be so bad if you weren't trying to avoid the potholes whilst also getting in lane amidst 3 lanes of traffic pulling off from the lights.
I imagine they'll never get fixed due to the logistics of closing the junction though.

There's a nasty pothole on Evelyn Street SE8 which I reported over a week ago. Come on Lewisham, get your finger out!
-
• #256
2 weeks and now it's got a barrier round it. Outstanding work Lewisham. They also seem to have thrown a shovel full of tarmac in the one at the bus stop just past this one.

I smashed the TT bike into a massive one yesterday. It's on a blind corner and deep as fuck. Didn't have time to attempt a bunnyhop or anything. I'm going to 'fix' it one night.

Anyone got money off council or tfl for damaged equipment? Pinch flat yesterday and Powertap head unit jettison today. Fucked off. Want blood. Will settle for cash.

Yep, I got a wheel two tyres and tubes and jacket replaced about 6 years ago. I made a claim after hitting pothole full of water in the dark on an unlit road. The council rejected it because the road "had been inspected within the required period" Then by chance I found out another cyclist had had a claim rejected after hitting the same hole 3 weeks earlier. So I wrote back telling them that they had been made aware that the road was in a dangerous condition and the immediately settled.
This why it makes sense to report potholes as often as you can, then the council can't claim it didn't know. -

I'm just going to send them a bill. Do you have a copy of what you sent them?
-
• #263
How do I find which council is responsible?
-
• #264
If you report it first on Fillthathole you will see who the highway authority is. I just wrote a letter, describing the location the time the hole and the consequences. I didn't keep a copy of the letter I wrote though

Where was it?

I've got a couple to report. I don't hold out much hope - the one I reported in 2011 is still there..

Admittedly, they probably get bigger each time you crash into one.

Phone them, then keep phoning them.

After complete inaction on the first one I reported I thought it was a waste of time but they moved swiftly on this so perhaps I'll 'report the shit out of them' from now on.
I'm still going to be billing the council. Fuck trying to make a claim I'm going straight to accounts and hope they pay without asking questions.

Holy shit! The fuckers have resurfaced the whole section! Beautiful!
There's also been some work done to a section of Uxbridge Rd and more of the A413 up near Wendover (still some big holes on it in places though).
It's as if someone went "oh, look, we do have spare tar and some blokes who'll spread it on a road"
Nice work whoever actually kicked it off.

Reported a giant hole on clerkenwell rd - eastbound, just before farringdon road.

Anyone had much success with this website?
Frustratingly main roads seem to get quick attention but side roads are neglected. Several I have reported have never been repaired.
Anyway to promote awareness? Maybe via this forum? Post reported links here and get others to submit same/similar report?

Wow.
So I reported something on 20th (definitely still there morning 20th) and they fixed it before I saw it this morning - 21st.
Probably a coincidence...but still someone is reviewing it, updating it and stuff does get fixed.

Wow, that's big, must have been tarmac thieves at work.
