  • more is better fo sho as long as it fits.

    a 10 speed cassette is thinner than a nine speed one. You need those stupid tiny spacers behind the cassette that are easy to lose. They are much more sensitive to set up and the chains don't seem to last as long.

    Less is more if you can still get the bits!

    9 speed still readily available as it's still the MTB standard (although 10 is creeping into that, it's not compatible with road 10) 9spd MTB IS compatible with road.
