Ed, if you read the title of this thread you'll notice that it is all about road bike recommendations NOT tourers, folders, moultons or anything else.
Go anywhere in the world where there is a large road bike riding community and near on 100% of the riders will be clipless, for good reason.
Now troll on to a thread which you have a good foundation of knowledge for and dish out your advice there.
