  • Bellamy's done ok.

And Aldridge was a good signing.

  • Yes Bellamy has done well.
We are really missing Lucas at the moment

I don't know why he doesnt play Thomas Thurgood and Shelvey. Surely we must have some other youngsters who are better than Downing and Henderson?

  • Is it coincidence that Arsenal have now lost two on the trot, both without Arteta?

They've found a consistency...They've lost the last three.

Would it be fair to say, that with probably the exception of Enrique, all of Kinky Kenny's signings have been wank and a complete waste of corn?

Potentially yes. With the exception of yesterday, Swansea and Spurs they'd actually played eye pleasing, decent possession football but without the results to back it. Things were going in one of two directions: either someone was gonna get tonked proper or the standard would fall. Off the back of so many draws it's made things look even worse. And actually Enrique has been shocking the last three games, too. The signings would have to show an evolution in their game-play to justify their prices. They have 7 games max to prove they're shit. I wouldn't bet on them.

Biggest shame is Bellamy's knees not being able to take three games on the bounce. He's been fantastic.

  • At least Evra can't play the race card for his bumming, eh?

  • can't believe Balotelli today... absolutely appalling. hope he gets a lengthy ban.

  • They have 7 games max to prove they're shit. I wouldn't bet on them.

That's not the case though, at least Henderson and Carroll are young players, and 5 years away from their peak. We've not signed them for this season.

  • Pisser for Spurs that he gets to stay on and win and score the peno, and other teams will get the benefit of him not being available to play them.

  • Fuck me!

I wish Defoe were a little taller, or a little bit more on the ball. He puts that away we're full steam ahead for a title challenge, confidence kicks on and we roll into this murderers row of a fixture list with a bounce in our step.

Now. We've got to take pride from a game we could have won, but ultimately lost..

First half was okay, lots of pretty football, but no real chances, couple of half ones, scrambled defense, but nothing dangerous. Didn't feel we were outplayed or overawed, at times we looked the home side.

Second half we start lively, walker loses nasri, doesn't track the run, sweet pass from silva, job done. 2nd goals a goal mouth scramble, ugly, but effective. Can see heads going down, typical spurs. Then Savic - who'd looked classy up till that point, making amends for his horror debut, misjudges the header, defoe's onto it and we're back into it. Confidence. Comes up, we get our swagger back.

Then bale scores a peach of a goal, and it's end to end, but with bales pace torturing the city defense it looks like only one teams going to kick on and win it. The. The Defoe miss. Fuck me he got sucked in by bales slow then dip of the shoulder and push on he gas. If he anticipates he scores, even then he misses by a fraction.

Chance is gone. 4mins of extra time and king who alongside Kaboul has looked solid all game takes away balotelli's legs, who could have been sent off for his step on Parker, which for the record I saw as accidental, but what do I know. Takes the pen and we've just shot ourselves in the foot.

Good game, really good to see the mighty spurs, playing football, Modric had a quiet game as did Parker and it was al down to vdv and bale to pull us out, but we played well and deserved at least a draw...

Roll on the other big teams..

  • That's not the case though, at least Henderson and Carroll are young players, and 5 years away from their peak. We've not signed them for this season.

Yes, however, given what our young academy players produced during last years injury crisis the new guys' price tags are weighing heavier and heavier by the game. Don't forget when we were playing good football this season minus the results, Carroll, Henderson and Downing weren't getting man of the match awards. The view was good footie and when the new guys really grow into it we'll be bloody strong.
Adam has been ok and, if, he can recapture the form he's shown in the past then he'll be fine. For me the biggest culprit has been the constant playing of players out of position and a lack of a set formation. Play good bad or ugly and you're guaranteed a start.

  • Really gutted by the Spurs result. However, we did lose in the best possible way, with loads to moan about and a whole bunch of what ifs and he should have been sent offs. Fuck it, we should have held on, man sent off or not. ManU did us a favor by beating the gooners though. All this Spurs title talk is a little silly. We are not far off but I will be more than happy witgh third above Chelsea and Arsenal. That way we can keep a load of players who would otherwise have left (to Chelsea) and add a few extra to make that extra step.

  • Chelsea FC, still unbeaten in 2012
    #FACT!

    Shaddup Leon.

Chelsea FC, still unbeaten in 2012
    #FACT!

    Here are some straws.

    Grasp away.

  • Exactly - we're 22 days in ffs.

  • Chelsea will finish third this season thats for sure. then i think arsenal in 4th and spurs 5th

  • Spurs will finish in 5th as they will go down severely when wax fee goes to prison next month.

  • Is there a genuine chance that he'll go to prison? Or is he more realistically just going to get a smallish (given his wealth) fine and a load of column inch's about disrepute (but no actual censure / regulation).

  • Its Ok, if Arry gets banged up Martin Jol will come home and save us, probably taking us to the title, before an era of dominace both at home and in Europe.

Eather that or Martin Jol will come home and Tom Huddelstone will get fat again.

  • looks like Lescott was also lucky to stay on the pitch

  • And ballotelli! hadnt seen that stamp on Parker. shocking

  • ballotelli's looks accidental in real time, but looks bad in slow motion

  • Agreed. just seen it on motd

  • I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that bale was at fault for Defoe's miss. Poor ball into him. Defoe didn't slow down, he puts in a full slide so the pass was inaccurate. Simple

  • Its because Defoe is a short arse
