↑↑Cervelo quantified it when they launched the S3; 200g heavier frame is only slower once the gradient gets to >8% or something in that vicinity. Obviously that's for Elites who ride uphill faster than us, but frames are much less important than wheels for aerodynamics. Have you noticed how Milan-San Remo (hardly a flat race) now gets won on 808s, not 700g lighter 303s?

Don't you know it's all about component weight.. just like CPU speed is the be all and end all of computer performance...
