Nitromors and fine wire wool to get all the paint and crap off, then wetsand with 800g, 1200g and 1500g sandpaper (a drop of washing up liquid in the water helps - use a stiff sponge for a sanding block), criss-crossing your sanding until you can no longer see the sanding marks from the previous direction. Then polish with Autosol (again, in two directions), then apply a hard wax. It'll be a mirror finish.
Although if your frame is brushed, don't you want a brushed finish rather than polished? If so, you can achieve it with wire wool.
