• The big wall is probably the least of it's problems. It will be a combination of rubber compound and tread pattern. The more tread a bicycle tyre has (for road use) the worse it will grip. Less rubber on the road as the tread makes gaps, and more squirm from the tread blocks.

    As the tyre is made for puncture resistance, cornering grip is probably placed low on it's priorities I would imagine.
