I haven't ridden eggbeaters but have heard stories of them releasing... I've been riding atac aliums for a while and would definitely reccomend them.

Are those airwings? Looks awesome with combined slamdatstem and those bars.

I don't think I'm strong enough to pull out of them when climbing or sprinting, like sheathy and other people have said, but but I've had them release when skidding before... including once on the way down Highgate Hill. Plus I want something that feels a bit more secure and with some platform.

Stem might come up a little but I bought wide bars (42cm, actually wider than my shoulders) thinking they would be more comfortable for just riding around town and it seems I was right.
