There's usually a two week turnaround once you find out that they need you to move on and the length of tenancy usually lasts anything between 3 months and several years.
I'm sure there's more to it than that but I like the idea - and for 25 quid a week and up to live an interesting place...
My current place is OK in that it's very cheap - but it's more than a bit grotty and I'd much rather live on my own.
