Not just me then. The constant "not my audience" stuff was snobbish wank as well. I've been watching him for 20 years (christ, I've only just realised that) and I've been a middle class marketing wanker more likely to buy the Telegraph than the Guardian for the last 15 of those. I think he's using it as justification for the audience not laughing as much, when in fact it's simply weak material. He should probably take a year off from Edinburgh if that's the best he could come up with.
