Come on, we still need to house a few teams.
We managed to house many more teams for the London Open, and Hell's Belles, and we are struggling to house 12 teams this time.
Someone out there must have some space for a team, or just some players...
We can't leave them homeless.

Anyone know if the Greenway has opened again after all the Olympic building work? It's the straightest route to Excel from north east.

A reminder to all teams:
please email me your photos for exhibitors passes! without them you will not be allowed in!any photo will do.

A reminder to spectating polo peeps, there is a good chance that a sub will be needed by some team at some point, and the sub cannot be a player that is still in the competition, so bring your kit if you're up for it, and shamelessly tout your services on this thread!

you won't be able to bring your bike inside though.. we only have space for players i'm afraid
-
• #62
Last year the police were marking bikes outside. Its a good thing to get done, especially that you all have polo bikes more expensive than your other bikes.

How serious are you about buying golden virginia? What would be the deal? For how much would you buy them and how many?
In spain they are not so expensive but really i do not want to go back to Spain, with a trophy and a load of Golden virginia i won't smoke

I'd pay 7 or 8 euros/pounds. How much is a 50g pack out there? How much is 10 x 50g? Just make a bit of profit on each, don't go nuts. Mates rates.
I'd say don't bring any more than 5 or 10 50g packs but I don't know how much interest there would be. Saying that I'll take 3 packs off your hands.
-
• #65
I'll take 6 X 50g packets, so that's 9 packets spoken for right there. Say £6 a packet?
-
• #66
I would happily grab 2 X 50g packs please.

Bill mentioned in the beginners thread having leaflets about beginners at the show for people who want to play, would anyone have access to facilities for this kinda thing? Failing that, just something by the court showing the times for regular sessions/beginners would be informative, unless you already have something like that sorted.
-
• #68
Great idea. Must have this.

Joni says she's got the leaflets Wayne designed...
-
• #70
They're on this I believe, Adrienne was pulling them together, Josh wrote some copy, etc.
More isn't a bad thing though? You could have "beginners polo" business cards?
Most people should be directed to: lhbpa.org/where-we-play I reckon (which then directs people back to the relevant forum thread).
The leaflets Joni has still have the ESB raffle on the back though don't they?
-
• #71
Yep, we've got some sweet flyers (by Adrienne) with basic polo rules, history and a bit about the lhbpa (pointing them towards the site to see where we play).
Nothing specifically on beginners I'm afraid, but there will be people around to inform anyone who asks.
what are times/locations of the beginner sessions these days? so we know what to say. thanks!
