• Aghhh...my inner conscience says no to red ano on road bikes!!!!

However, yes, there are lots of red ano bits on the Giant. A lot are coming off in time...which means I can probably have red hubs.

You don't think 28h x3 for the rear?

I think you're right on the A23's... excluding any deliver or customs mucking about the HED.'s are going to be an extra £50. Plus if I get the A23's from BLB I have a shop to take them back to... still I'm going to check my bank balance and spares to see what I can sell.

On the spokes is that your fake Sapim spoke source?

Pretty sure 2x will give a better angle leaving the hub than 3x. You want the spokes coming out at right angles to the radial vector. (if that makes any sense).

Those spokes are made by a reputable firm, Pillar. Better known for Ti spokes. I have them on most of my bikes now. They make the same range of spokes as Sapim, DT-Swiss, Wheelsmith etc. So its easier to refer to them as eg. CX-Ray-esque, or Revolution-esque. But that hints at a cheap copy, which is not the case. Like I say, all the big brands do various aero spoke, or WW spokes. CX-rays have a more eliptical shape, the Pillars are simply flatened. If you look at the elbow (definite trouble spot on spokes). It has the same dimensions as the DT spokes, in that it fits more snugly into the hub flange, when comed to Sapinm. IMHO this improves longevity. The black anodizing is pants though.

Bought all of mine through BDop, and am about to order some 259s for my fatty wheels.

    Have you looked at these?
