flat = dull. you need some big hills to take your mind off the distance, then the distance isn't the problem, its just getting up the hills. Plus hills = good views. I haven't been east much, but what i've seen when i have been is dull uninspiring flat windy wasteland. You've been to cambridge, remember the journey? no, me neither.

Neil you need educating some of the best cycling roads are in the east midlands ,not flat but rolling ,wide open with nice views :) Fat people like me dont like hills
