No meat (or fish) this month, just for the hell of it really and also because I've always eaten meat by the herd, often in at least 2 meals a day every single day. It's nice to think differently about things and look for alternatives. I'm shocked (now I'm looking for alternatives when out shopping) how much meat there is in pretty much everything and how limited choices seem to be for veggies - thank feck I enjoy cooking otherwise it would be even grimmer.
Also moderating alcohol intake, not abstaining for the month but having at least 3 or 4 days off during the week and then limiting intake to just 2 large glasses of wine or equivalent so not going over the recommended gov limit in total. Went off the rails over New Year for a few days but got it back on track and managing pretty well otherwise, considering that moderation in booze is something I haven't practised in more years than I care to remember :)
