When I first heard Faures requiem I wept, its immensely moving, it softly screams everything is going to be fine. takes you belly down and leaves you fine the other side
and how could you not stick a bit of Elgar in there. Nimrod is a bit obvious but it has got me in a few motion pictures. popular but rightly so, its a heartfelt piece. but i think Griegs death of ase gets it. just because the violin, of all the instruments can really lower a soul
