I'm fed up of having no clearance with mudguard with my 32c lightweight tyres, it's ridiculously comfortable and feel fast to ride on, but the lack of mudguard proven from yesterday rain was off putting.
Either go for a custom frame with clearance for 32c and mudguard, or put skinner tyres on wide rims for tubular feel and comfort of a bigger tyres.
26mm, a perfect size with just enough clearance for a decent steel mudguard;
providing a good U shape instead of the hourglass shape, it was surprisingly comfortable and does feel like a tub, even at 80psi.
