That was frikkin ace! Went to buy some overshoes (stable door - horse) then stepped out into that shit! Bike was really grubby from a ride yesterday, not any more! Just towelling it and myself off. Bit of lube for the bike, cup of tea for me... job done.
Spotted one other cyclist in 3 miles. Oh and got a puncture (so much debris on the road).

We were hit by a hurricane (Dagmar) over Crimbo. Most of the street lights are out, so its hard to dodge all the crap thats been blown around, and cars are using full beam everwhere. Going to have a exploration ride on the cx bike tonight. The woods are fucked. To put it technically.

I wonder if Andy is still with us. Can someone telegram Manxland?
Hi.
I wish people would learn to put fences up properly, I'mm getting fed up of removing them from my garden. My fence is fine, for now.
60mph+ and sunny. Going for a nice walk after lunch.

Some of that might be mine. Sorry.
I have been parking my, well insured, but decrepid, car under a dodgy looking 7 meter tall tree along my driveway for 5 years. Needless to say Dagmar tore the tree up, and planted it upside down on my fence. Missing my car by 20cm.
FML.

We were watching this from the missus' family's place as it happened. Looked completely insane. Hope all's well up there.

Lots of distruction.
Terrifying shards of corrugated iron embedded 8 meters up in trees.
Bits of boat on high mountain paths.
No street lighting.
Road signs missing.
plus plenty of folk missing larg sections of their roof.Still. Havent heard of anyone getting hurt yet. So you have to ffel lucky. I had a 4m diameter temporary swimming pool (one of those big feckers that requires filters etc.). That I had been too busy to pack away (was empty though). On a balcony, on the right hand side of the house. Its now in front of my doorway on the left hand side. I swear that thing weighs a ton.
I have plenty of tyding to do, but all is well. Cheers.

Weird light outside now at HPC - a cold white daylight coming from the west, and really doom laden clouds to the east. Blue sky poking out above. Odd.

It's pretty mental up here in Yorkshire.
The sky has gone all purple and there's a moaning screaming noise coming from everywhere at once. Raining and sleeting sideways, loads of flooded areas, crap all over the roads.
Seriously thinking about changing the gearing on my bike to something more storm friendly.

Looking forward to 30 mph winds blowing me all the way home
it's mental round Angel, I'm not sure I'll even be able to cycle down the road, there's gusts of wind removing everything not bolted down.
