The setup in the photo is right. Once the steerer is trimmed the Roberts will look perfect.
Riding around with spacers and a negative degree stem is just done if you secretly wish for:
a) more flexibility and associated slammed stem for pro credentials
b) a quill stem and associated retro manabouttown credentials
Both are silly.
