Yeah man. I first heard of them a year ago. He has been making big moves recently. My mate pat can build Ali frames.

Should be stumping up the dosh for my new frame on Friday. Behold, the Bat-Bike!
I can't wait to get it built up in the new year. Haven't ridden a bike since mid-September!
-
• #304
WHY haven't you rode since Sept?
-
• #305
Sold the Steamroller frame (too small), and then was in Thailand for 2 months, and haven't been able to afford to replace it since I got back.
-
• #306
That is interesting looking?!

Dear Sam,
I noticed your thread, probably years ago now, though wondered if you did indeed get an affinity lo pro and if you tried putting a 650 wheel on the front. I only ask as I have a lo pro which i like a lot though am about to replace the front 700 wheel with a 650. I am going to try it with a 650 fork too so I can run a front break for safety. If I could trouble you for your thoughts, Id appreciate it. Paul -

Is there a bike to go with it?
-
• #312
Hahhaa. Nah its for the BMX. Worth £200. Got it new of the Bay for a GGGRRREEEAAATTT price!!!!
-
• #313
Haha, nothing changes. Must be time for a Friday ride soon, I might even turn up for it.
-
• #314
New bike is slowly coming together. Smiles all round :)
-
• #315
!done yet Dan?
-
• #316
Yep it doesn't fit!
-
• #317
Har. No not finished yet, have sent the bottom bracket back (Graham Weigh listed it as new and unused but had clearly been fitted) and yet to pick up pedals. Also may get a new chain, I'm thinking the gold one will ruin the stealth look..

Fit is fine I think - although I will probably use my Thomson seatpost rather than the Aero one. The seatclamp is tightened with an allen on top, so as you see above, you have to leave a gap between the seatclamp and the start of the aero vane (or whatever you call it), which would make the saddle a little high.. I guess you can get shorter aero posts though?
-
• #319
Shorter aero post, or a saddle with less rails-to-taint rise.
-
• #320
There's a completely stripped Selle in my dad's garage. Quite low, but comfy it ain't, on your taint.
-
• #321
Building up my bike at the moment, moving 105 over from my audax bike. New wheels and a few more bits on the way. Excited!
-
• #322
I'd like one of these:
But the Thomson will do just fine for now.
And yes, a stripped SLR would be nice. Heard they are quite comfortable. Seem to remember your stripped Flite had a seam across it (which can't have been comfortable).
-
• #323
No seam. Was always okay with padded shorts. Not sure about that seatpost, not my cup of tea.
-
• #324
But Sparky it'll make you faster!!
-
• #325
If you're doing 35mph it will, a bit.
Nice bob jozz.
