Is it really that big a difference? I managed to clock up 10,000 miles on the heavy duty tourer with the basic Deore stuff (V brake too), and honestly, it does exactly what it said on the tin.
sure it's lighter, it probably shif better and durable? could be, but it doesn't make the Deores anymore undesirable.
