The arguments for and against using radials on a back wheel are mostly to do with the unequal tensions required on either side to build a dished wheel.
That Phil hubbed job up there is not dished, so the spoke tensions should be equal side to side.
There are more reasons for not using radials on a brakless skidder rear. But judging by the crows foot pattern he's got on the front, the experimenting is still in progress.
Talking of radials on the rear, this bike is testing the strength of bladed spokes more than it should, but it doesn't look set up for day to day use. :)
