I prefer 70ish GI for city riding and 80+ for flat rural riding.
However, I always ride 48/19 (66ish) when I'm commuting etc but concentrating on road training at weekends. Its perfect. Almost no strain on legs when pulling away from lights...seems to minimise any tiredness should I end up doing a lot of junk miles during the week.
