Black nato would look alright I think. Grey might be too hard to match. Dark red nato would be daring.

I like that Citizen.
Every watch I own is broken:
New Swatch stops occasionally, and I've lost the guarantee and receipt
Sekonda works for about an hour, then stops (needs a service - no money)
Marvin feels really stiff to wind, also needs a service (still no money)
Timex gains so much that it's unusable (ditto)The only watch that works is my old-old-old Swatch, and that has a split strap so I can't even wear it.
Fffffuuuuu

^^^ was about to say the same thing :). Awful.
I quite like the felt laptop cases / document holders. Pack & Smooch make a really nice one:
That really is the wurthers original of a case isn't it? its theft proof! no-one would nick it in fear of ending up smelling of piss and left with pots of metastatin and St johns Wort

Sportier than a train driver but not as "Jock" as Gym assistant...

I just wish they'd make them with the movements actually like a swiss rail clock... The second hand should move in small jumps and have a delay at the 12 o'clock mark.

I have a poljot de luxe auto. Couple of questions
How much is it worth? (was my grandads. Not selling) (has no markings on back)
Its a wind-up but when i move it makes funny zipping noises! Advise?
The hour hand is slightly off can i just take it to a watch shop and get it fixed? -
• #4437
Ebay and forums seem to suggest about £60-90.
Nice looking watch!

strela pulls in the bigger bucks, so to speak.

Look for similar condition examples on completed eBay auctions for an idea of value.
The zipping noise is probably the automatic winding rotor -

It says 29 jewels on it what does this mean?
-
• #4441
Jewels are used for bearing surfaces because they don't wear out like metal bearings (well, they do, just really, really slowly) - a high number of jewels tends to indicate a good quality watch.

• #4442
The movement uses 29 rubies as bearings

^^^^^ For some reason soviet movements went overboard with jewels in automatic movements, a silky smooth Swiss movement will use no more than 25 jewels, superb Asian movements (Seiko for example) will often use no more than 21 jewels. In reality no more than 25 jewels are really needed for a sweeping second hand and the jewels aren't real rubies in case you're wondering, they're synthetic.

Got my eye on this baby at the moment, nice and big for my chunky wrists, plus made in 1969 the year of the lunar landings and my birth. Have been after a nice watch from my birth year for a while:

Interesting brand, nice history, 17 jewel Swiss movement. Would look cracking with a shark mesh strap.
