Hawksmoor Guildhall beef tasting menu yesterday lunch.
The meal was definitely a "statement", that being: this is more beef than you can possibly eat. I must say it was rather good, and we were there for around 5 hours, but for my money they could have cut back on slightly on quantity and focused even more on quality. The tartare course - which was around half a pound of raw meat each - was psychological defeat for many of my chums, with several courses still to go.
The beef shin macaroni (presented in a vast cast-iron cookpot with the bone jutting out) was the highlight for me, although the oysters with kim-chi and brasied short rib were also very good indeed.

Today I am somewhat lethargic.
