there was a brilliant article about it in the papers on the weekend - arguably the greatest box office flop of all time.

I just saw a trailer for The Sitter.
Jesus...
Yeah it looks pretty bad. You know its a remake of 'Adventures in Babysitting' - not an amazing movie but one of those movies I liked growing up. Why can't they just leave this shit alone.
Watched The Thing 2011 - It was ok nothing amazing
That is good to know. Might still go see it.
Drive - Saw it again last night, still probably my favourite film of the year
Water For Elephants - thought it was gonna be compete horse shit but it was really good, bit chick flick but I like it!Agree totally.
So I went and saw the new Harold and Kumar last night. As expected a total blast, though the 3D is just for the sake of it. If you liked the first two movies then you will like this, otherwise avoid it because you just won't.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. It's just what you need when you're in puberty - the freedom of the city with an attractive babysitter. Classic film. Also went by another title, which escapes me for the moment.

I am strangely drawn to the rise of the apes... It's a bit popcorn but I can see it working
Watched true grit last night, some great characters and the girl! Wow, amazing. Wonderful to look at and some sharp dialogue at times. What I expected really. Wasn't blown away but left with a smile on my face

I saw Rise of the Apes about 4 days ago on the plane to the US. It was OK but certainly not amazing. Worth a Sunday afternoon watch if it's on Sky, nothing more, IMO.
True Grit was fantastic. I absolutely love the doctor guy who appears from the middle of nowhere with a badger (or something similar) on his head and then disappears just as quickly. Ace film.

^ i'd buy that for a +1
If not one of the best....
The only thing that always irks me about it though is Gillian Andersons Wolf Mother/Wolf Goddess. Sounds like she has something in her mouth
