I read Homer's Odyssey a few summers ago. I liked it, very different style of storytelling. Few long paragraphs of descriptions, every page moves the narrative forward. Not like fucking Lord of the Rings, the slowest paced, most tiresome book I've ever stopped reading halfway through (of which there are not many).
