I'd miscalculated the max tyre radius, and together with my slight lowering of the BB this looked like I'd get tyre-to-seattube rub. Looking at the BikeCad mock-up Triton sent. Although with the rockers I can move the tyre out a touch anyway.
The hardtail style fatbikes have a chainstay length of around 448mm.
The snowbike style fatbikes have a chainstay length of around 456mm.
With my 452mm chainstays, and rocker drop outs. I have effective lengths of 444-460mm. Sweet!
The hardtail style fatbikes have a headtube angle around 70.5 - 71.
The snowbike style fatbikes have a headtube angle of around 69 - 69.5.
With my 70deg, 1.5" headtube, and a cane creek angleset. I can have head tube angles of 68.6 - 71.4. Sweet!
I cant see myself playing with these things much. In fact I plan to run a tapered fork which removes angle adjustability. But I love the built in flexibility. Triton came back to me with questions about exactly the aspects they should be concerned with. I'm massively reassured by this, and of course massively excited .
I think I've finalized the fatty Ti geometry.
