No. Listen to the world.

Ah, I should clarify- I am actually looking for some headphones to use whilst on the turbo, but thought that both running and turbo'ing were similar in terms of turning into a sweaty mess.
I've got some corded headphones that I use every now and then for running, but tend to prefer to be able to hear what is around me.
However when on the turbo all I can hear is "whum whum whum whum", which gets old in a hurry

In that case, I have no idea... I compulsively buy headphones whenever I go through an airport because I invariably forget the previous pair. Being poor I always opt for the cheapest pair which, unsurprisingly, are always shit.

Just got back from Parkrun. That pain in my shins didn't come back, and the ache I normally get in my shins is less than after the previous two. Still a bloody wreck, but I think that's progress.

When on the turbo I tend to sit up straight for a lot of the time, bit will also lean forward with my elbows on the bars, and at positions in between these extremes- on the hoods, on the drops etc.
Whilst this is going on I also tend to towel myself down a fair bit to avoid needing to put the turbo on a mat.
I reckon that this would be asking for a corded pair of headphones to have the life expectancy of a chocolate fireguard.
From Googling all I have really found are headphones which connect with your telephone via Bluetooth, which my tv does not have, hence asking for some advice.

Sounds like the shin issue was just down to your legs needing to get used to running. Nice one. Thats not always the case with shins.

Man up, and duct tape them to your face......
....or get the hook-around-your-ear ones and run the cable down your back into a jersey pocket. I do this at the gym. Ever since I accidently flicked my Ipod at some 120kg polish weigtlifter.

Did a icy 10k on Friday. Cant run tonight conditions are insane, even for here. Want some fresh air though. Considering wraping up warm and moving the rollers on to the terrace.

3 hours/45 miles on Sunday on the bike, merino socks and MW80's, I could still feel all my toes when I got home.
Winner.
Now- does anyone use bluetooth headphones whilst running?

Well I completed my first 13mile run yesterday at an ambling pace of 2hours 10 minutes !
To be honest I didnt feel to great towards the end wether it was just fatigue but my inner thighs started to cramp up and my right foot the arch was really quite sore. But still i managed it and today I feel physically fine like I didnt do it.
I just hope the more longer runs I do eventually my body will get used to it and these aches and odd pains will go ?
Anyone who has done half marathons feel a little bit like crap after ? -
• #2195
If you're going further than ever before, yeah, you should expect to feel crap. Take it easy the next few days and watch out for any flares ups of that foot (It's much easier to get chronic injuries running than cycling). But next time it shouldn't feel too bad!
-
• #2196
Yep I shall keep an eye on the foot cant really afford any injuries.
I will see how it feels as I have a short run to do today and if it annoys me then a few days rest for the foot.
Thanks ! -

Went for a run along the Regents canal, this afternoon. 7.5km in 29 minutes, barefoot. Should be able to do a sub-40-minute barefoot 10k, at that rate.
Was pleased to have no blisters at the end, despite parts of the towpath being entirely covered in water. Water + barefoot = blisters unless very careful with technique.

With 18 weeks to go official marathon training started today with a 5 mile tempo run.
5 Miles, 34min44secs average 6.56min miles.
3x2 mile tomorrow for breakfast.
Still slightly worried about my plan and if it's sufficient to get me round in my target time, but i'm pretty much at my fittest ever now so hopefully slowly building up to running 21-22 miles and for longer than my target time I should be fine.
This combined with my knowledge from my previous attempt should put me in a good place!

^ what is target? 6m48 pace is 3hrs I think from (frustrated) memory...
