The vast majority of the references to the depression thread are in the football thread. Clearly this was being done to obtain a response, and it was received.

There is so much wrong with this.

More than a year later I'm back to wanting to smash together heads of apparent children.

The whole thing is just a face palm.

Fundamentally this community lives of dies by the people in it showing respect and tolerance for each other because we share a common interest and we understand that by being together and working together we achieve more than the sum of our parts, and ultimately that benefits us individually.

Just because one person is rubbing you up the wrong way, it does not give you any justification for not having the necessary respect to exist peacefully within it.

How do I explain in simple enough terms that people understand: If you don't treat the place with respect then don't expect it to be here. You, the people within the community, have the ability to make or break the community. But play carefully, for the wider community may defensively react to your actions and in self-preservation reject you instead.

Understand that, understand it deeply.
