James, the chevron thread was a passing fancy. It would have sunk without trace after a day or two. The Football Thread is one of the most active on this whole forum. You may not like it. Others certainly do and it has built a strong community within the forum as a whole. People exchange banter there and are sometimes seemingly offensive to each other but generally in a pleasant and respectful way.

In the same way as Pisti and others should avoid the Depression thread, you should respect and avoid the Football thread.

People come to this forum for many reasons. One is enjoyment. Even if you don't like or understand the subject matter of those other people's enjoyment, don't constantly seek to deprive them of it.

Hope the cold gets better soon. In the end, I was almost at the Park when I received a call and had to dash home for a conference call. Lovely day for a ride. Pity that.

The vast majority of the references to the depression thread are in the football thread. Clearly this was being done to obtain a response, and it was received.
