+1 Not being on the electoral register is tantamount to being Nick Leeson in the eyes of some institutions. I have been refused credit solely on this in the past.
Go to experianm or equifax. Just view your credit record with them...their more expensive services that give you a "credit score" are usually a waste of time. There is no such universal premise as a credit score and all they are effectively doing is saying whether you are poor, average or good in the eyes of the average lender.
A bit of common sense when you view your record should be enough for you to work out what is wrong if anything.
Have you paid any mobile phone bills late? Thats all on you record if so...
