I have Thomson stem and post on the CX bike, with Ergonova bars. and as you point out that is fine.
I'm debating using the same bars on the road bike, in my continuing quest to find some bars I like.
That'd end up with Ritchey seatpost, ControlTech stem and 3T bars though- a shocking breach of the rules.
