  • sure if you knew it was a contraction of brompton and modification you'd be fine.

brompton + parts or replacements or hinge clamp or stockists or shops or dealers or upgrades... = feck all help

  • But I wasn't looking for a badger now was I? I tried accessories, boutique, parts, nut... etc got a load of old shit back. I do know now that the brompton road has a fair few posh shops on #trufact

  • Dont buy brompfication's version of EZY wheels, the rubbers come off all the time and they are shit.
That was the only thing I was glad about losing when I had the last Brommy lifted.
Although with the regular EZY wheels I have wobble problems, i.e. it falls over easily when folded on the train - has anyone tried the skate wheel solution? Apparently you can retro-fit them quite easily.

Also still loving the MKS removable pedals, with the restraps. Brompton is main bike at the moment - so ride it every day. Removable pedals are also an added anti theft device (although I never let it out of my sight these days)

I've also fitted an Aber Halo stem, as I found the S bar a little low, but didn't want the twitchy-ness of the M bar - is so much better now

Can only get them here, but it didn't take long to arrive, and I didn't get stung on customs - and it really is run by a chap called Thor.

  • you owe me a pint, that was a tough one to find...

    Sweet, thanks

  • tailsam, read the post above you.

  • Ah yeah, skim read.

    Can't afford them anyway.

  • i have an aberhallo stem in my parts bin i'm not using and various bars and an s bag too i think if anyone needs anything, cleverpun - i think that may have been my you were talking too? did we chat about l'eroica?

  • If anyone wants one (thought'd I'd post here first) I have an unused Brompton folding Basket (without brace or frame), brand new with tags going for £20 or £24 posted.

  • Stickers, lock-on grip, and a bag that match the sticker = £740 more over the standard.

  • Talking of stickers...

  • Anyone?

Met Police have recovered a 2005 M type in Yellow & Black with some quite specific mods.Think it’s yours? Email cycletaskforce@met.police.uk

  • Was it an obvious custom order or merely a normal Brompton with modification?

  • It was a tweet from bromptoncycle, that's all the info I have. Chances are if you know someone who's missing a yellow and black brompton, just pass on the details as it'll be a fair hit rate

  • So... who has the tool to remove the left folding pedal?

  • LMNH let me borrow theirs.

  • Cheers... might pop in there as a last resort. I live and work west so it's a little out of the way.

I would pop to the handy Cycle Surgery on Shepherds Bush Green but they close at 6pm on weeknights (fucking retarded time to close)

  • So... who has the tool to remove the left folding pedal?

Soul, which pedals are you looking to put on your brompton? I'm in two minds about putting the MKS pedals on so that I can use straps.

  • I have a set of SPDs lying around which i'm going to put on it.

  • **SOLD:
    **
2 x wired Kojak tyres, approx 6 months' use, usual wear and tear for that kind of period i.e. slight change in profile and a few cuts. Roll well, good chance to experiment if you want some free speed.
    £10 for the pair, SOLD.

3 x schraeder tubes (2 x Brompton stock, 1 x unused Schwalbe), might be a bit of a squeeze with Kojaks, no problem with Brompton tyres or Marathons.
    £5 for all three. SOLD.

  • Oh yeah, PM, blah.

  • WANTED. i think - brompton rear rack - anyone?

  • My brompton kevlar tyre had a bit of a hump on it that's showing signs of failure after 2 years.
Haven't had a puncture in that time, but the hump makes me want to consider alternatives.

Anybody have any experience with other brompton sized puncture resistant tyres ? (Have UTFS).
